Georgia, Tbilisi, 8 February / Тrend corr N. Kirtskhalia / The European Union and the UN Development Program (UNDP) have launched the implementation of the 5th stage of the anti-drug program in the South Caucasus.
On 8 February, the official opening of the 5th stage of the program will take place in the Sheraton Metechi Palace hotel in Tbilisi. The government representatives from the region's countries will be in attendance.
The anti-drug program helps the Governments of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia to get familiar with the EU's experience in fighting against drugs and to fulfil the recommendations envisaged in the EU Neighbourhood Policy Program.
The budget of the program's 5th stage, which is supposed to last for 2 years, exceeds €2mln.
