Georgian Prime Minister to Visit United Arab Emirates

Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Lado Gurgenidze, the Georgian Prime Minister, will go to the United Arab Emirates on 13 February. The Minister will pay a three day visit to Abu-Dabi and return on 15 February.

The official goal of the visit was not announced by the Government. However, according to unofficial information, Gurgenidze is to get familiar with the experience of provision of necessary facilities in free zones in Poti.

The Georgian Minister is expected to meet with Arabian investors, who visited Tbilisi at the beginning of February. The investors are planning to invest in Georgia. Nakhayan ibn Mabarak al Nakhayan, the Education and Science Minister and founder of Abu-Dabi investment company of United Arab Emirates, stated that he was interested in investing in different spheres in the country, including the banking sector. "I visited the office of our Korbank, which is under construction, and Kempinsk hotel, in Tbilisi," he stated.
