Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian Government is continuing the persecution against the party of former Defence Minister Irakli Okruashvili 'For United Georgi', Eka Beselia, party Secretary General, stated in a briefing.
According to Beselia, there are problems, besides those created by the Governemnt, to prevent the party to rent an office.
"On 10 March, the party rented office in Gldani. Later, police started imposing pressure on the owners of the office and we had to shift the office. At present, 'For United Georgia' is located in the 5 Melikishvili Ave. Party made the required documents, but the pressure was put on owner of the office by the officials of Internal Ministry," Beselia stated.
Beselia appealed to the Governemnt to stop political persecutuion against the party of Okruashvili. "We demand fulfilment of the decision of prosecutor to return back our previous office in Atoneli 10," Beseli stated.
