Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ Georgia has a right to cease the peace-keeping mission in Georgia-Abkhazia conflict area, said David Bakradze, the foreign minister of Georgia.
Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister stated that the ceazation of peace-keeping mission must be coordinated by both the conflicting parties, Georgia and Abkhazia.
He stated that the peace-keeping format in Abkhazia is being considered by UN at present. "We will continue our work in this regard to achieve the consideration of mandate of peacekeepers by UN," he said.
The minister also stated that Georgia will prevent any move that can cause escalion of tensions in the conflict prone area.
