Georgia, Tbilisi, 18 July / corr. Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / Michael Saakashvili, the Georgian President, called a statement by Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, as barefaced on inadmissibility of connecting the non-use of military force between Georgian and unrecognized Abkhazia Republic with the repatriation of refugees.

"The world community will not admit such a barbarian decision," Saakashvili said in Batumi on 17 July, voicing his hope that Lavrov's statement was the official's provocative statement but not the Russian Government's position.

The Georgian President also called a proposal to sign an agreement between Tbilisi and Sukhumi on non-use of military force as senseless initiative.

"This initiative is senseless, because Georgia is not prepared to attack anybody," Saakashvili said, stressing that an agreement on non-use of military forces was in power.
