Russian jets attacked Tbilisi's airport on Sunday in one of the most daring of airstrikes reported across the country since fighting broke out over Goergia's breakaway region of South Ossetia, the dpa reported. An airfield near the capital's airport was smoking after the attack Sunday, a Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa reporter at the scene reported. Georgian authorities evacuated the presidential building and other government offices, fearing Russian bombardment, Georgian officials said Saturday. Officials said that since Friday Russian planes had bombed near a military base in Vaziani, a military airport in Marneuli, the port of Poti and a railway junction and an airport in Senaki.
