"The mechanism of ensuring the real state of the matters is necessary, and here the European Union must be active because it must know what occurs at the places. It is now necessary to save people, who undergo tortures, violence under these conditions," said Godmanis.
"We call upon our ministers to meet in the European Union to make decisions on the basis of today's realities," said Latvian Primer Minister.
