Georgia, Tbilisi, 15 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili believes Russian aggression was intended also against regional projects. It can be judged from the fact that Russian aircrafts purposefully bombed the oil pipelines passing through Georgia, Georgian President stated at a joint briefing with the Turkish Premier.

"The fact that majority of bombs were dropped to the civilians and economic properties, including Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline testified for the action was connected not only with Abkhazia and South Ossetia and defence of their interests," he said.

According to Saakashvili, a security system is needed to secure such huge regional projects in the case of aggression.
