Georgia, Tbilisi, 28 November/ corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia/ The Abkhazian criminals abducted 67- year old Irina Mebonia, a suburban of Nabakevi, Gal region of Georgia. Thus, four criminals under the guise attacked Mebonia in her home and used violence, the government of Abkhazia Autonomous Republic said.
Later she was kidnapped and taken away to Sukhumi. The criminals passed the Russian posts without any hindrance.
Later the criminals got in touch with Mebonia' family and demanded the ransom in the amount of $30,000.
This is the fourth abduction in the Gal region over the last month.
