Georgia, Tbilisi, May 29 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /

Non-governmental organization "Georgian emigrants" will start sit-down protest with the requirement to improve the living conditions of Georgian immigrants and their families in front of Parliament from May 29. Its members accuse the authorities of lack of attention and threaten to start a hunger strike.

According to the organization's statement, authorities try to split the ranks of immigrants. "On holiday in honor of the independence of Georgia the country's leadership invite only the rich immigrants, and ignore the demands of poor countrymen and their families," said in the statement.

Manifestation of attention to the Georgian emigrants, release of illegal detainees, the prohibition of wiretapping and ensuring freedom of the media outlets are not a complete list of requirements that will be sent to the Prime Minister Nika Gilauri.

NGO "Georgian emigrants" was established recently and it has over 500 members.
