Despite Russia's attitude towards patenting Georgian products, this decision is legitimate and products will be patented, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a press briefing.
She said the decision on patenting Georgian products is due to the fact that traditional Georgian products produced mainly in Russia began to appear in the markets of different countries.
"The Georgian side's requirements have been already sent to the international community, including Russia. If Russia does not fulfill them, it will not be the first or the last case when it violates the international obligations," Kalandadze said.
