The Eastern Partnership's upcoming summit is important for Georgia, spokesperson for the Georgian president Manana Manjgaladze said at a briefing.

She said that Georgia is interested in intensification of relations within this initiative.

"The Eastern Partnership summit is planned to be held in Poland by late September," she said.

Besides six leaders of the "Eastern Partnership" initiative countries-participants, heads of the EU organizations will attend the summit," Manjgaladze said.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili was invited by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to participate in the summit.
