On Thursday, at "Tbilisi Marriott" hotel, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the press
Dunya Miatovich will open 8th annual South Caucasus Media Conference.
For two days, conference participants will discuss Internet governance and pluralism of media.
The conference will bring together more than 70 journalists, non-governmental media, parliamentarians, officials and academics from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Conference participants will discuss the role of the Internet in the deepening of pluralism in the OSCE area, particularly in the South Caucasus, and look at international standards and practices, to exchange views on the situation regarding freedom of media in the South Caucasus.
Local and foreign experts will speak about his experience in the field of Internet regulation. Based on the report of the OSCE, will provide information on legislation of the countries of South Caucasus in terms of freedom of expression.
Finally, recommendations will be developed and adopted a declaration at the conference.
