Georgia has never been so close to NATO, as now, the Georgian president said at the meeting in Batumi.

He said that he is pleased with the intensity of the NATO relations.

"Over the last three years, the NATO meeting took place in Georgia twice," he said. "I received an invitation to attend the next meeting in Brussels."

The president said that there a number of political parties in Georgia. They say about the long-term prospect of joining the NATO.

"But these political parties do not have any prospects in the country," he said. The main political spectrum agrees with Georgia's prospects into NATO."

He said that Georgia's way to the NATO was opened by the "Revolution of Roses". Afterwards, Georgia has become a developing country.

"We are ready to be partners with NATO," Saakashvili said.
