Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, who is on a visit to Israel, met with Israeli president Shimon Peres, at the Knesset (parliament) and also Chairman Reuven Rivlin and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

A Georgian Foreign Ministry spokesperson told Trend the meetings covered boosting cooperation in international organisations, as well as the prospects and possibility of establishing a visa-free regime between Georgia and Israel.

As Mr Vashadze told Georgian journalists, within the next two months a joint commission will be set up to consider abolishing the visa regime between the two countries.
