Chief of General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces arrives in Georgia

Chief of Staff of Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov is on a working visit to Tbilisi. The Georgian Ministry of Defence told Trend he met with his Georgian counterpart, Major-General Devi Chankotadze on Tuesday.
The sides discussed during the meeting the reform of the Georgian army, military education and prospects for bilateral cooperation. The sides also discussed issues related to participation in peacekeeping operations and exchange of experience in this field.
After the meeting Khachaturov visited Military Academy of the Ministry of Defence in Gori.
Today, the Armenian General laid a wreath for those who died for the territorial integrity of Georgia at Heroes' Square in Tbilisi and honored their memory.
During the visit, the Armenian delegation will visit on Wednesday Krtsanisi Educational Center, which prepares Georgian troops for the NATO's ISAF operation in Afghanistan.
