Georgia is waiting for the NATO summit in Chicago, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Brussels today.
Saakashvili said the Georgia-NATO Commission will present the progress achieved by the country on its path toward integration into NATO.
He also thanked Rasmussen for the assistance rendered for Georgia's reforms and progress. Saakashvili also touched upon the role of the Georgian military contingent in Afghanistan, which makes a contribution to the international security.
"This is really a difficult mission, but I know that it brings us closer to the alliance," the president said.
