In connection with the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Georgia and Turkey, the Georgian Foreign Ministry delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikoloz Vashakidze will visit Ankara on May 29-31.
As Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze stated on the traditional Monday briefing, except for the anniversary reception Vashakidze to hold meetings where they will discuss urgent issues of bilateral cooperation.
"We have close relations with Turkey and in the last period, they become increasingly close. In addition, we have very good trade relations, the volume of which we are trying to increase every day. At the same time, policy issue swill be discussed too" - Kalandadze said.
According to her, a continuation of meetings on the occasion of the anniversary will be visit of Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri in Istanbul scheduled for June 4-6.
