Austrian company to invest in Georgia

The Austrian Gebruder Weiss will invest in transport and logistics in Georgia.

The company held an official event on the occasion of joining the Georgian market. Georgian Parliament Speaker David Bakradze, Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Matkava, representatives of the business sector and managers of the company attended the presentation.

The guests familiarized with the company's activity and plans for Georgia. Executive Director Wolfram Senger-Weiss said the company's turnover exceeds 1 billion euro and it is a leader in transportation and logistics in Europe.

"We are creating a strategically important platform in the Caucasus region, particularly in Georgia with the help of the regional company," Weiss said.

David Bakradze appealed to the company's management. He called Gebruder Weiss the best European company. He said the appearance of such a company on the market is a signal to others that it is reliable, competitive and open.

An agreement on mutual cooperation was formalized between Gebruder Weiss LLC in Georgia and the Economy Ministry at the end of the presentation.

The document envisages long-term investments in Georgia, the construction of logistics facilities and the creation of Gebruder Weiss LLC.
