Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has received a delegation of chairmen of Turkish parliamentary which is on a visit to Georgia.
Heads of the six committees of Turkish Grand National Assembly (parliament) are in Georgia.
The President of Georgia and Turkish MPs discussed the situation in the region, maintaining stability and reducing tensions. Saakashvili called for the development of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
He also thanked Turkey for assistance in integration into NATO.
The sides discussed issues of deepening of bilateral cooperation, as well as economical and cultural issues.
Turkish MPs reaffirmed commitment to the unity of Georgia and its sovereignty. They called for the preservation of stability in the region.
