The Government of Georgia during the next four years intends to create 273,000 jobs, a government program "More good to people", which on Tuesday was presented to Parliament for consideration, said.

Under the program, more than $4 billion of foreign direct investment will be attracted, which means about 80,000 new jobs. The number of tourists will rise to 7 million, as a result of which tourism sector will create 140,000 new jobs. A 5,000 km road will be laid, which means continued employment of about 40,000 people. The construction of 15 new hydroelectric power plants will continue, which will result in 13,000 jobs.

"The overall objective of these measures will be a decisive blow to the unemployment and provision to everyone an opportunity with new knowledge, new skills to find its place in a stronger Georgia," a government program said.

On Tuesday, the parliamentary committees and factions are considering this document and the updated composition of the government.
