Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has appointed his authorized representative in the Shida Kartli region.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sulkhan Sibashvili became the new governor, presidential spokesperson Manana Manjgaladze said at a traditional briefing on Tuesday.
Head of the Presidential Administration, David Tkeshelashvili will introduce Sibashvili to the administration of the governor.
It is still unknown where will former governor of Shida Kartli Giorgi Tatishvili work. "It will be announced in the coming days," Manjgaladze said.
She confirmed the appointment of Ivan Tsiklauri the governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti and the transition of the former governor of the region Lasha Chkadua to the post of deputy minister for employment.
