Three Georgian sailors have been released from prison of Larnaca (Cyprus). Georgian crew of the Cypriot vessel was detained after due to the arrears of wages sailors went on strike and without permission of the captain left the ship.

For this reason, the captain gave them to court.

Georgian diplomats hired a lawyer for the sailors. The court acquitted the sailors and freed them in the courtroom, and ordered the captain to pay arrears of salary.

A few hours ago the sailors returned home.

According to them, they were in jail for 10 days. For helping the sailors thanked the Government of Georgia and the country's ambassador to Cyprus, Gia Japaridze.
