Georgian Railway employees are starting a two-hour-long warning strike. Following the meeting with GR administration the head of United Trade Union Irakli Petriashvili stated that talks have ended inconclusively this morning, this is why the strike will be held, but for the time being it's going to be a warning protest.

According to him, the GR administration offered to increase wages by 11 per cent, but the proposal was rejected by railway workers, who demand higher wages, the establishment of a fair system of bonus distribution and overtime pays, improvement of working conditions, restoration of the rights of employees who were punished for their cooperation with the unions.

Transportation of freight in Tbilisi and transportation of passengers in Samtredia will be suspended during the warning strike.
