Many journalists dismissed from Georgian TV company

According to Director General of Imedi TV channel George Lominadze, around 30 employees were dismissed from the company.
Producer of "Chronicles" information service Irma Loria said that the employer could dismiss Imedi employees at any time without any explanation in accordance with the contracts. The journalists learned about this at a meeting in "Imedi" on November 2.
"Nobody explained anything and everybody were dismissed," Loria said.
Popular presenter of "Chronicles" program Nodar Meladze was among the dismissed. Previously, head of Imedi information service Mate Kirvalidze was also dismissed.
The staff was changed after the company was returned to the ownership of deceased millionaire and owner of "Imedi" company Badri Patarkatsishvili's family.
