Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and UK Europe Minister David Lidington have discussed foreign policy priorities at a meeting at the Georgian Foreign Ministry behind closed doors on Wednesday.

As Panjikidze said after the meeting, the conversation also touched upon integration into NATO and the EU, relations with Russia, and cooperation between Georgia and the UK.

It was stressed that Georgia will continue to participate in the peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan.

"The UK is keen on deepening trade relations with Georgia. Along with it, there are many principles in connection with Georgia, which will not change," Lidington said.
