The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili signed a decree to pardon prisoners. The presidential administration told Trend on Friday that the Commission of Pardons submitted a list of 131 individuals to President Saakashvili.
An additional list was also submitted to the presidential administration. Some 277 prisoners will be pardoned.
Some 231 people have already left prisons. Around 44 prisoners' sentence term was reduced. Five women and two minors are among pardoned.
