Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili plans to invest his own funds in a private investment fund. This was stressed at a news conference in Tbilisi today.
The Prime Minister did not specify the amount of his contribution to the fund.
"It does not matter, the important thing is the principle of the private fund's activity, which will co-finance projects of interest to Georgia," he said.
Ivanishvili said that he has already talked to two Georgian millionaires who are also willing to finance the fund.
"We must establish this fund to ensure beneficial projects," he said.
He stressed that the issues of his financial participation will not affect the freedom of the fund's activity, which will be led by an independent manager.
