The trial over former Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia started in Tbilisi. Akhalaia's wife applied to the Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili with a request.
Anna Nadareishvili called Irakli Garibashvili to ensure the running order in front of the City Court in Tbilisi, as some action is planned to be carried out there with regard to the trial over Akhalaia.
'I would like to inform you that a pre-trial meeting over my husband, former Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia's case will be held in City Court at 12:00, February 20. We know that Akhalaia's friends and his confederates will come to support him. I turn to you with a request to undertake corresponding measures to avoid any possible excesses and violence', an appeal signed by Anna Nadareishvili , Director of Freedom and Support Centre said.
Anna Nadareishvili is a daughter of head of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia in exile Tamaz Nadareishvili, who died several years ago.
