The Government of Georgia has launched a new project titled 'Georgian Government for Open Governance'.

The aim of this project is to ensure public involvement in governance of state, the press office of Georgia's Prime Minister said on Tuesday.

"The aim of this project is to ensure greater involvement of society in governance of state, so that the government's work becomes more transparent and open, and its accountability before citizens acquires a traditional nature," the press service said.

The project provides for online meetings with both local and foreign media. These meetings will be held twice a week.

The first meeting with media within this project will be held by the finance minister Nodar Khaduri on Tuesday, March 12.
