Georgian border guards detained Turkish ship "Aydar" which went from unrecognized republic of Abkhazia to the Turkish port of Trabzon. Among the crew of "Aydar" vessel, detained by Georgian border guards Wednesday, were 2 Russians, 3 Ukrainians and four citizens of Azerbaijan, told Trend representative of the Georgian Border Police (GBP).
Their names are:
1. Mahir Safarov, Chief Officer
2. Beylar Huseynov, Chief Engineer
3. Rufat Jalilov, second engineer
4. Elshad Makhmudov, electrician
According to GBP representative, the detained sailors accused of violating the law of Georgia "On occupied territories" and are detained in Poti.
As the director of Abkhazia Shipping Company Zaur Ardzinba told Trend,a ship with a cargo (fish meal and fish oil) was arrested on Wednesday night in international waters and was escorted to the Georgian port of Poti.
