An international conference on wine tourism was held in Zagreb (Croatia) on March 15-16. Georgia took part as the host country for 2014.

According to the National Tourism Agency of Georgia, this year's annual conference organised by Wine Pleasures was attended by delegates from 30 countries representing both the public and private sectors, as well as journalists, bloggers and photographers.

Georgia was presented as a host country for next year's conference. In this regard, a special presentation reflecting the trends of tourism development in Georgia as well as the capacity and infrastructure of wine tourism, was organised. It was noted that in recent years, Georgia has made significant progress in the development of this type of tourism.

The conference also held a tasting session of Georgian wine which generated much interest. Presentations on various topics related to wine tourism were held within the conference. Georgia's Tourism Administration officials also held meetings with international tour operators.
