Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili is in Strasbourg by special invitation. On Monday, he met with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Jean-Claude Mignon.

According to the press service of the prime minister, the parties discussed the commitments undertaken by Georgia.

According to him, Georgia attaches great importance to the continuation of the institutional dialogue with the Council of Europe and is awaiting more active cooperation.

Georgian was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze, Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for International Relations Tedo Japaridze, Executive Secretary of 'Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia' party Armaz Ahvlediani snd Acting Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe Irakli Giviashvili.

Before the meeting, Bidzina Ivanishvili left a note in the CE 'Golden Book'.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister and the President of PACE made comments for reporters.

""Welcome home. That is how Mr Mignon welcomed us at the meeting and we have a similar view - Georgia should return to the European house," Ivanishvili said.
