The Georgian Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Israeli Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar and head of counter-terrorism bureau Eitan Ben-David during his official visit to Israel, the Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend today.
According to what was said, the parties discussed opportunities to develop cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
Then Irakli Garibashvili and members of the Georgian delegation visited Holy Cross Monastery and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.
The program of the visit includes a meeting of members of the Georgian delegation with Minister of Defence and Communications Gilad Erdan, Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich and other officials.
The parties will sign a memorandum of cooperation on emergency management and the improvement of mechanisms of mutual assistance in emergency situations.
