Former Georgian PM begins hunger strike

Former Georgian Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili began a hunger strike in prison.

Merabishvili demands for a TV and processing power of attorney for members of his family members so that they could use his personal card for use declared money, detainee's lawyer Giorgi Chiviashvili told reporters.

Merabishvili is in prison №9.

It should be noted that a month ago he was visited by former Supreme Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg, who promised to provide him TV.
