The first batch of Georgian alcoholic beverages over the past few years was transported through Russian customs at the Alabinskiy customs office in Moscow, the Central Excise Customs told "Interfax" today.
Currently, the cargo has passed customs clearance. The first declaration for Georgian alcohol was released.
The Georgian wine, mineral water and agricultural products delivery to the Russian market was banned in spring 2006 amid tense Georgian-Russian relations. The official reason for the ban was the low quality of Georgian products.
Russia and Georgia resumed the talks on supplies in early 2013.
