The 35th meeting in the format of mechanisms to prevent and respond to incidents (MPRI) is scheduled to be held in the village of Ergneti on the border with South Ossetia on Friday.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia told Trend, the sides will discuss issues related to security in the areas adjacent to the administrative boundary between South Ossetia and the rest of Georgia.

Georgian is going to demand the suspension of the establishment of barbed wire along the administrative border again.

The issue on the provision of the right of free movement of the local population and the frequent arrests of Georgians for a so-called border violation are also expected to be discussed at the meeting.

Representatives from Georgia, Russia, South Ossetia, the EUMM and the OSCE are expected to participate in the meeting.
