The leader of Georgia's Democratic Movement, presidential candidate Nino Burjanadze is confident of her victory in the election.
"Either in the first round or the second, I will win," she said.
According to Burjanadze, if she wins, she will do everything to ensure that the country has returned to its main mission.
"We are currently not representing a state. Our homeland today is practically the subject of international assistance or discussion. We are not the state independently deciding on its fate. I will do everything to ensure that the country has introduced the most important values, traditions and innovations, which are very important for the normal and proper development," Burjanadze said.
She does not rule out a second round of elections, noting that this is no tragedy.
"It may be fine for the whole process. Either in the first round or the second, I will win," the Democratic Movement leader said.
Presidential election in Georgia is scheduled for October 31.
