Georgia, Tbilisi, July 10 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili has made a special appeal for the upcoming presidential election.

"The head of Georgia has announced the presidential elections for October 27. The Central Election Commission has already started implementation of measures provided by the law. Political parties and presidential candidates started preparations for the election," he said.

The presidential elections should clearly show a fundamental change in the country, the Georgian PM said.

According to Ivanishvili, his political team has the ambition and desire to convincingly win the contest. However there is an even more important ambition and desire to hold clean, free and fair elections that are worthy of a country striving for European integration, the PM said.

"This will be our common victory and establishment of a democratic political order in the country," he said.

Ivanishvili expressed his confidence that the presidential election will be won by a worthy candidate, while those who do not win will be confident that even by a defeat in a fair fight, they have made their contribution towards the democratic development of the country.
