Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Georgia initials association agreement with EU at Vilnius summit

The Vilnius summit on EU's "Eastern Partnership" will be successful for Georgia, Georgia's Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze told the journalists commenting on the meeting of the EU's and partner countries' Foreign Ministers in Brussels, which recently took place.

The main issue of the meetings in Brussels was the preparation for the Vilnius summit.

"Everyone are confident that, Georgia, Moldova and Armenia are initialing agreement on association with the EU. The completion of negotiations between Georgia and the EU on deep and comprehensive free trade with the EU also contributed to this," Panjikidze stressed.

She noted that, on this basis, "there is an absolute guarantee that, the Vilnius summit will be successful for Georgia."
