The Central Election Commission of Georgia has changed the rules of photo and video shooting at the polling stations on the presidential Election Day.

According to a CEC decree, cameramen and photographers will be able to freely enter the polling stations during the election process, the Georgian CEC told Trend on Thursday.

In addition, the cameramen will be able to shoot the election process from a place determined by the election commission if the dimensions of the place do not allow them to stick to the determined distance of three metres.

Georgian non-governmental organisations demanded a change to the rules on photo and video shooting on Wednesday whereby the existing norms prevented free access for media representatives.

The presidential election in Georgia will be held on October 27.
