Lasha Abashidze was appointed head of the new Georgian president’s administration. Newly elected President Giorgi Margvelashvili proposed several individuals to hold some positions, though they have not yet agreed.

Lasha Abashidze was appointed head of the new Georgian president's administration. Newly elected President Giorgi Margvelashvili proposed several individuals to hold some positions, though they have not yet agreed.

As for Lasha Abashidze, Margvelashvili worked with him at the ministry of education and then in the electoral office.

He also offered one person to hold the post of Secretary of the Security Council, but that person has not yet agreed, Margvelashvili said to the Imedi TV company.

The presidential election was held in Georgia on October 27.

Candidate of the ruling coalition 'Georgian Dream', Giorgi Margvelashvili won the election gaining 62.11 per cent of the votes.

The inauguration of the elected president will take place on November 17.
