Israel, Georgia create intergovernmental commission

Israel and Georgia are creating an intergovernmental commission, Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Ze'ev Elkin told journalists on Thursday after a meeting with the Georgian Foreign Minister.
"We are working on a number of bilateral cooperation agreements. We have decided to establish a joint intergovernmental economic commission, which should be convened at the end of January," Elkin said, adding that during the meeting, they also talked about regional issues and cooperation between Israel and Georgia within international organizations.
The Deputy Minister noted that Israel sees Georgia as an ally and a very close partner.
