On Thursday the court of the Georgian capital of Tbilisi acquitted the persons involved in the "Telasi case".

The Tbilisi City Court acquitted the Director General of the Rustavi 2 TV Company Nika Gvaramiya, former Deputy Minister of Economy Kakha Damenia, former Minister of Energy and Finance Alexander Khetaguri, Director General of Telasi company Devi Kandelaki, the founder of the LLC Elendef Service Giorgi Nemsitsveridze and Izabela Gutidze.

It should be noted that the accused persons refused the jury trial before the start of the judicial process.

Ashot Manukyan, who had been sentenced to imprisonment, is being accused on this case. But he escaped from the investigation and is now wanted.

All defendants were on release on bail pending trial.

The investigation accused the defendants of fraud. The case was instituted on the fact of transfer of $1 million by the Telasi company to a false company created in 2012 for allegedly advisory services. All the accused were working for this company.
