The trial against Georgia's former Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia over the Girgvliani murder case will begin on Nov.18. According to the defence explanation, Akhalaia doesn't accept the charges made against him.

It can be recalled that a few days ago a new charge was put forward against Akhalaia. According to the prosecutor's office, he was accused of an abuse of power.

It should be noted that according to the already conducted fourth trial, Akhalaia was acquitted in two cases. On one of them he got a 45 month prison sentence, but was pardoned by former President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Currently, Bacho Akhalaia is still in prison, as in the current case he was sentenced to two months in prison as a preventive measure.
