The Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union was initialled in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius on Nov. 28.
The document consisting of 1,000 pages was initialled by the Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani and Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mikheil Janelidze.
The process that took place behind closed doors lasted about three hours.
The symbolic initialling of the document will be held in Vilnius on November 29. It will be signed by the Georgian Foreign Minister, Maia Panjikidze and the EU Commissioner Catherine Ashton.
