Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili congratulated the country's people on initialling of the Association Agreement with the European Union.
"Thus, Georgia has once again proved that it clearly intends to follow the path of European integration and not turn from it," Margvelashvili told journalists in Vilnius on Nov. 28. "The initialling of the agreement is a step towards European integration, and it is a historic step for Georgia".
The Georgian president touched upon his meetings in Vilnius and stressed that they are of great importance.
"Today we begin a path that is guaranteed to provide Georgia's accession to the European family, a part of which we have always been," Margvelashvili said.
