Tbilisi, Georgia, Dec. 16
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:
Georgian-Russian talks in Geneva are to be held on December 16-17.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend, the Georgian delegation lead by first Deputy Minister Davit Zalkaliani has already headed to Switzerland.
Zalkaliani said at the meeting the Georgian side will raise questions about the arrangement by the Russian side of the so-called border in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone, along the lines of the separatist regions. Georgian side is also to discuss signing of an agreement with Russia on the non-use of force.
Moscow calls the barbed wire fence in the Georgian villages historical borders, and Russia's ultimatum on non-use of force is still valid. The Moscow delegation demands the Georgian side sign the relevant document.
Georgia expects that Russia will undertake similar commitments.
