The Georgian- South Korean business workshop was held in Seoul.

The event was organized by the Georgian National Investment Agency, the Georgian embassy in South Korea and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), the Georgian National Investment Agency told Trend on April 15.

The heads of about 30 leading Korean companies attended the event. They mainly represent such sectors as real estate, tourism, energy and industry.

The director of the Georgian National Investment Agency and vice president of the Federation of Korean Industries signed a memorandum of understanding at the official opening of the workshop. It envisages the promotion of the development of economic and investment relations.

The head of the investment agency Giorgi Pertaia and Deputy Economy Minister Mariyam Valishvili made a presentation about the rapidly growing investment sectors in Georgia.
Leading international companies such as Hyundai E &C; KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) and Daewoo E & C have shown an interest in Georgia's investment opportunities.
