Venice Commission’s delegation arrives in Georgia

A delegation of the Venice Commission arrived in Tbilisi, Georgia today, on May 22, with a two-day visit.
The main objective of this visit is to get acquainted with the activity of Georgia's State Constitutional Commission, the Tbilisi office of the Council of Europe told Trend.
The Venice Commission's delegation, led by Thomas Markert, includes Regina Keener, Slavica Baric, Michael Frendo and Lucian Mihai.
During the visit to Georgia, the delegation is expected to meet with the chairman of the country's State Constitutional Commission, David Usupashvili, heads of all five working groups and representatives of the commission.
The meetings will be held at the Tbilisi House of Justice.
The European Commission for Democracy through Law - better known as the Venice Commission - is the Council of Europe's advisory body on constitutional matters.
